Check IOU Execution Fees and Requirements 좋은뉴스

The above fees are ‘statutory fees’ as listed in the ‘Notary Fee Rules’. Since it is stipulated by law (rules), the cost is the same no matter which public notary office you go to nationwide. In other words, some offices are expensive for notarization, and some offices are not cheap. The ‘Notarization of IOU’, which we often refer to, means the ‘Notarized Deed of Money Consumption Loan’, which contains the ‘approval of compulsory execution’ and can be granted an execution statement. (You can get an IOU as a librarian certification, but it cannot be enforced.)

Then, let’s calculate the notarization fee for the 30 million won ‘Notarized Deed of Loan for Money’. First of all, we need to set a target value, which is 60 million won, not 30 million won. This is because the notarial deed of loan for money consumption is a ‘bilateral contract’ in which both parties bear the obligations, so they must be added together. (Refer to Article 5 of the Notary Fee Rule) Therefore, in this case, KRW 44,000 will be charged for up to KRW 15 million. Then, for 45 million won exceeding 15 million won, multiply by 3/2000, that is, 0.0015, to get 67,500 won (45 million won * 0.0015). The total is 44,000 + 67,500 won = 111,500 won.

Here, a notarial deed ‘additional fee’ of 500 won is added. The original notarial deed consists of a total of 6 sheets, in this case, 5 sheets excluding the cover with no fee. Up to 4 sheets are free, but from 5 sheets, an additional fee of 500 won per sheet is added. Since this is the ‘original’ of the notarial deed, it is supposed to be kept at the notary public office. And the creditor is issued a ‘Authentic Copy’ of the notarial deed, and the debtor is issued a ‘deungbon’ (a copy of the authentic copy). The authentic and certified copy of this notarial deed is made up of 7 copies in total by adding one copy marked as authentic copy or certified copy to the 6 copies of the original.

In other words, excluding the cover, it becomes 6 sheets, so 500*6 sheets = 3,000 won issuance fee for authentic copy and certified copy. This is because, unlike the original copy, an unconditional fee of 500 won per copy issuance is attached (refer to Article 24 of the Notary Fee Rule). In the end, the cost of notarization of the money consumption loan of 30 million won is as follows.

30 million Won Money consumption loan Example of notary cost
Classification Fee Total
Basic commission 111,500 won 118,000 won

(If a representative came
Notice Postage 2,500 won added)
500 won additional fee
Authentic copy issuance fee 3,000 won
Certified copy issuance fee 3,000 won
*** In the case of a representative *** Postage for notification to the principal 2,500 won

In the end, the fee for the notarial certificate of loan for money consumption according to the amount is as shown in the table below.
